Ned Robinson, age 86, died April 11, 2010 at Woodland Terrace. He was born and grew up in Wauseon, Ohio but spent most of his working years in Westfield Center, Ohio as an employee and executive of the Westfield Ins. Company. Upon his retirement in 1986 he became a part-time resident of Citrus Hills, moving there permanently in 1998. |
He was a member of the LeRoy United Methodist Church in Westfield Center; as well as a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Citrus Hills. He was a life member of both the Masonic and Elks Lodge, as well as, a member of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR). |
Mr. Robinson was a veteran of WWII having served in Europe as a pilot in the 9th Air Force. |
He is survived by his wife, Dortha of 66 years and four children, Melinda (Larry) Myers, Matthew (Connie) Robinson, Cassandra (David) Smith and Amy (Scott) Allen as well as eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. |
There will be no calling hours, a memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, April 16, 2010 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Hernando with Rev. Kenneth Blythe officiating. Arrangements are being made for a Memorial Celebration in May in Westfield Center, OH. Contributions may be made to Hospice or the Salvation Army in either Florida or Ohio. Arrangements are under the direction of the Inverness Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes. |
