The Service of Remembrance for Mr. Clarence W. Faughn, age 95, of Inverness, Florida, will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the Inverness Church of God with Pastor Larry Powers officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Inverness, Florida. The family will receive friends from10:00 AM until the time of service, Saturday at the Inverness Church of God. Mr. Faughn was born December 16, 1914 in Benton, KY, son of the late Huston and Vernie (Thompson) Faughn. He died April 13, 2010 in Inverness, FL.

Mr. Faughn was a veteran and worked as a coal miner. He moved to Inverness, Florida from Benton, KY 30 years ago.

Mr. Faughn was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the United Mine Workers, the Civilian Conservation Corp. and the Inverness Church of God.

Mr. Faughn was preceded in death by his wife, Ocie Blair Faughn on March 18, 2008, son, Donald W. Faughn on May 8, 2003 and 2 brothers, Kelzie and Arthur Faughn. Survivors include a brother, Albert Faughn of Benton, KY; grandson, Michael Faughn of Davenport, FL; great-grandson, Zachary Faughn; great-granddaughter, Keilah Faughn; and daughter-in-law, Jewell W. Faughn of Inverness, FL. Arrangements are under the direction of the Inverness Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes & Crematory.
