The Service of Remembrance for Mrs. Margaret Irene Hill, age 89, of Depew, New York, formerly of Inverness, will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at the Inverness Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes with Pastor David Abney officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Inverness, Florida. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Wednesday at the Inverness Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes. She was born April 27, 1921, in Cullman, AL, daughter of Virgil and Emma Nix (McClain). She died July 10, 2010, in New York.

She worked as a Department Store Manager for Bealls. She moved to Depew, New York, from Inverness.

Mrs. Hill was a member of the Inverness First Presbyterian Church, and the Order of the Eastern Star # 65.

Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Hill; and brothers Void, Everett and Ernest Nix; sister, Clara. Survivors include three sons, E. Victor Hill of Kissimmee, FL, Daniel T. Hill of Ocoee, FL, and Donald R. Hill of Elmira, NY; two daughters, Myrtle M. Passmore of Pine City, NY, and Dolores I. Aldenderfer of Depew, NY; brother, Virgil J. Nix of Fullerton, CA, sister, Frances Hill; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hooper Funeral Homes & Crematory.
